Willy Molongo in REBOND : the requirement behind the performance

For this very first episode of REBOND, we welcome Willy Molongo, physical and mental trainer, who played professional basketball before retraining in supporting high-level athletes and even CAC40 leaders.

With sincerity, he addresses subjects that we don’t hear enough about:

✔️ What is a professional career really worth when precariousness is the norm?
✔️ How to pivot and assemble your box when you don’t know anything about it?
✔️ Why should you invest in your body ?

In this unfiltered exchange, Will looks back on his years as a player, his time in Pau, the hassle of retraining, his beginnings in a micro-enterprise and his obsession with rigor. Between locker room anecdotes, work ethic and vision of performance, he shares everything, without tongue in cheek.

Do you want to understand what it takes to reach the highest level, whether you are an athlete or an entrepreneur? This episode is for you.

How much does a basketball referee earn in France? The reality that no one tells you

The real salary of a professional basketball referee in France

They are on the pitch, visible at all times, responsible for decisions that can change a match.

And yet, basketball referees in France remain in the shadows… especially when it comes to their remuneration.
In this article, we tell you everything: real figures, comparison with the NBA, unclear status… and above all, we show you in video the hidden side of a profession like no other.

Basketball referee salary: the figures in France

In Betclic Elite (Pro A)

  • 💰 €660 gross per match

  • 📅 Around 28 matches per season

  • 🔁 Or €18,480 gross per year

  • 🧾 Personal expenses (preparation, travel, etc.): around €2,000

  • 💸 Net estimate: around €16,000 per year

In Pro B

  • 💰 €440 gross per match

  • 📅 Up to 38 matches per season

  • 💸 Maximum annual gross income: €16,720

  • 🔻 Net estimate after charges: ~€14,000

That’s if everything goes well. No permanent contract, no clear status: the arbitrators are both independent, employees and affiliated with URSSAF, an administrative headache

And meanwhile… in the NBA

In the United States, it’s another planet.

  • 🏀 Rookie NBA referee: $250,000 / year

  • 🌟 Confirmed NBA referee: up to $550,000 / year

  • 📈 Bonuses, playoffs, insurance, support: everything is structured

Yeah, the gap is huge.
And no, it’s not just a question of budget.
It is also a question of recognition and credibility.

“You make a mistake, the whole world knows”

This is what Yohan Rosso, international referee, told us in our REBOND podcast.
A strong sentence, which sums up well the constant pressure that these men in the shadows experience.

In a few seconds, an arbitration error can go around the networks.
But their training, their concentration, their stress management, no one talks about it.

And what do you think about it ?

💬 We are waiting for your reactions under the YouTube video and on the networks.
📌 This subject deserves to be seen, shared, debated.

Superleague 3×3 Verdun :

look back at a 3×3 basketball weekend with the Meuse Committee

PUBLIÉ LE XX/XX/2025

This weekend, Verdun vibrated to the rhythm of the orange ball. A stage of the 3×3 FFBB Superleague was brilliantly organized there by the Meuse Committee, bringing together players from all over the region.

At COM1SPORT, we had the privilege of providing complete video coverage of the event.

A major stage of 3×3 in the Grand Est

The 3×3 Superleague is much more than a simple tournament: it is a real national circuit managed by the French Basketball Federation, where each stage counts for the official rankings. The Verdun stage was part of this dynamic, highlighting performance, conviviality and local commitment.

The Meuse Committee has put in place a complete system to make this stage a worthy sporting and popular event.

COM1SPORT on the ground: capturing the energy of an event

Mandated by the committee, we mobilized our team to capture the very essence of this weekend :

🎥 Breathtaking gameplay sequences,
📸 Award ceremonies and moments of celebration,
🎤 Highlights around the stands and infrastructure,
🚁 Drone plans to provide a panoramic view of the site.

This all gave rise to 4 video clips, now published on the Meuse Committee’s Instagram account.

Why use event video ?

Today, a vent that is not documented…..ends up disappearing.

Video allows you to :

  • extend the scope of the event well after it has taken place,
  • promote the work of volunteers and organizers,
  • attract future partners or sponsors,
  • and of course, uniting a community on social networks.

This is why we believe in the power of short formats and a human approach to capture. Every moment counts, every image tells something.

Want to make your sporting event shine ?

At COM1SPORT, we support communities, clubs, committees or brands who wish to tell their events differently.
